Overview
Framework Templates can be assigned to learners individually or in bulk. Assigning a Framework Template applies the selected learning aims (and units if included) to the learner’s portfolio. This helps ensure consistency when multiple learners follow the same programme structure.

Assigning a Framework Template to Multiple Learners
Only Centre Managers and User Managers can bulk-assign Framework Templates.
Steps
- Click Centre on the left-hand navigation bar.
- Click Framework Templates.
- Click Actions under the Options column.
- Click Assign.
- Use filters or the search box to view relevant learners.
- Select the learners you want to assign the template to.
- Click Assign to Selected Learners.
Assigning a Framework Template to a Single Learner
This method can be used by Assessors, Internal Verifiers (with manage learner permissions), Centre Managers, and User Managers.
Steps
- Navigate to the learner’s portfolio.
- Click Manage.
- Click Learning Aims.
- Click Assign Framework Template.
- Select a Framework Template from the dropdown list.
- Click Save.
Only Update Existing Learning Aims
If selected:
- Only learning aims already assigned to the learner will be updated.
- Any additional learning aims included in the Framework Template will not be assigned.
Warning: Assigning a Framework Template without selecting this option will overwrite all existing learning aims and units, which may impact progress.
Delivery Plans
If your Centre has enabled Delivery Plans, additional options appear when assigning a Framework Template:
- Copy delivery plan: A copy of the framework’s delivery plan will be assigned to the learner and visible on their Delivery Plan tab.
- Replace draft delivery plans: Any draft delivery plans on the learner’s portfolio will be replaced with the delivery plan from the Framework Template.
✅ Tip: Review delivery plan options carefully to avoid unintentionally overwriting learner plans.
