Uploading Evidence Over Your Centre’s Upload Limit

User Roles

This feature can be used by:

  • Assessors
  • Trainee Assessors
  • Learners

Overview

If a file is too large to upload due to your Centre’s evidence upload limit, you can extract the file from the Onefile Eportfolio App and use a third‑party tool to compress, split or share it externally before uploading again.

Steps to Extract Large Files

  1. Log in to the Eportfolio App.
  2. Navigate to the piece of evidence you want to extract.
  3. Tap and hold the evidence for 3–5 seconds.
  4. Tap Share.
  5. Select the third‑party software (e.g. Files, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox) you want to save the file to.

Next Steps

Once the file is stored in a third‑party app, you can:

  • Share a link back to the evidence area in the learner’s Onefile Eportfolio.
  • Zip or compress the file into a smaller size.
  • Split large video files into smaller segments before re‑uploading.

Important Notes

  • Tip: For help compressing, editing, or trimming files, please contact your IT support team.
  • The Onefile Eportfolio App does not compress files — extraction is required for files over the Centre’s limit.
• Sharing options may vary depending on apps available on your device.

Terminology

The terminology used in this article may differ depending on your Centre’s configuration.
