Who Can Use This Feature?

  • Centre Manager
  • Assessor

Centre Settings

No additional centre settings are required to create written question forms.

Steps to Create a Bank of Written Questions

Step 1: Navigate to Written Question Forms

  • Click Quality in the navigation menu.
  • If you are an Assessor: go to Forms & Templates on your homepage and select Assessment Templates.

Step 2: Create a New Assessment

  • Click Written Question Forms.
  • Click Create New Assessment.
  • Enter a name for the question bank in Assessment Name.

Step 3: Add Questions

  • Click Create new question.
  • Type your question into the New Question field.
  • Click Set Criteria to link the question to criteria.
  • Select the Learning Aim and Unit you want to map the question to.
  • Click Expand/Collapse All to view full criteria lists.
  • Select the criteria relevant to the question.
  • Click Save.

Repeat steps 5–11 for each question you want to add to the bank.

Publishing Your Written Questions

  • Once all questions and criteria are added, tick Publish this assessment.
  • Click Save.

Your written question bank is now ready to use in assessment plans.

Assigning Written Questions to Learners

To use written questions with learners, they must be added to an Assessment Plan. This ensures questions appear in the learner’s portfolio for completion.

✅ Tip: Group questions by theme or criteria to make them easier to locate and reuse in future plans.
