Overview
When sampling an assessment, Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs) may see two options—Sample Checked Criteria and Accept Checked Criteria—if the relevant Centre setting is enabled. These options help IQAs confirm or override assessment decisions during the sampling process.
Sample Checked Criteria
This option is used when:
- The IQA has sampled the assessment criteria and agrees with the Assessor’s decision.
- The IQA wants to confirm that the criteria have been reviewed and verified.
Selecting this option records that the IQA is satisfied with the assessment decisions exactly as the Assessor made them.
Accept Checked Criteria
This option allows the IQA to:
- Override the Assessor’s decision.
- Correct criteria that may have been incorrectly marked by the Assessor.
Example: If an Assessor has accepted criteria but the IQA does not agree, selecting Accept Checked Criteria ensures that the criteria does not count toward learner progress.
When Are These Options Available?
- These options appear only when your Centre has enabled the IQA sampling setting.
- If you do not see them, speak with your Centre Manager to review Centre Settings.
Tips & Notes
- Use the correct option based on whether you are confirming or overriding the Assessor’s decision.
- Consistent use of IQA sampling options supports accurate reporting and quality assurance tracking.
- Actions are recorded within the assessment history for audit purposes.
