Overview
Expert Witnesses can be added to support learner evidence by providing observations or testimony from individuals with specialist knowledge or workplace oversight. Learners, Assessors, and Trainee Assessors can create Expert Witness records when this feature is enabled for the Centre.

Who Can Use This Feature?
This feature can be used by the following user roles:
- Assessor
- Trainee Assessor
- Learner
Centre Setting
- Use witnesses / expert witnesses must be enabled.
Steps
How to Create an Expert Witness
- Navigate to the learner’s Portfolio.
- Click Manage.
- Select Expert / Witnesses.
- Click Create new witness.
- Enter all required Witness Details.
- Sign the form.
- Click Save.
Once saved, a task will be sent to the next user who needs to sign the form.
Tips & Notes
- Ensure the Centre setting for Expert Witnesses is enabled before creating new witnesses.
- Expert Witnesses are often used for workplace evidence that requires specialist verification.
- Signatures may be required from multiple users depending on your Centre’s workflow.
