On Wednesday 21st January 2026, we’ll be rolling out a series of enhancements and fixes to Eportfolio.

Assigning an Expert Witness to an Assessment

  User Roles

This feature can be used by the following user roles:

  • Assessor
  • Trainee Assessor
  • Learner

  Centre Setting

Use witnesses/expert witnesses

Before you're able to assign an Expert Witness to an assessment a Centre Manager will need to create an assessment method by following the below steps:

  1. Click Quality
  2. Click Assessment Methods
  3. Click Edit next to the Assessment Method
  4. Tick Expert/ Witness
  5. Click Save

To assign an Expert Witness to an Assessment please follow the below steps: 

  1. Create New Assessment
  2. Select Primary Method
  3. Click Start
  4. Select Expert Witness
