Why can't I see a specific Assessment Method?

Overview

Visibility depends on your user role, Centre Settings, and whether the method has been assigned to the learner’s Class.

User Roles

This information is relevant for the following user roles:

  • Learner
  • Assessor
  • Trainee Assessor
  • Centre Manager

Why Learners May Not See an Assessment Method

Your Centre may choose to hide certain assessment methods from learners so that only Assessors can start those assessment types — for example, Observations.

Why Assessors May Not See an Assessment Method

Centre Managers can restrict which Assessment Methods are available for each Class. If you cannot see a method, it is likely that the method has not been assigned to the learner’s Class.

How Centre Managers Can Assign an Assessment Method to a Class

  1. Click Quality in the navigation menu.
  2. Click Classes.
  3. Open the Class you want to enable the method for.
  4. Scroll to the Assessment Methods section.
  5. Tick the checkbox next to the method you want to enable.
  6. Click Save.

The assessment method will now be available for all learners in the selected Class.
