Unit Allocations

Overview

Unit Allocations allow Assessors and Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs) to be assigned to learners on a per‑unit basis. These allocations help determine who receives learner‑started assessment tasks, unit summary tasks, and relevant notifications.

User Roles

This feature can be used by:

  • Centre Manager
  • User Manager
  • Assessors (with permissions)
  • Internal Quality Assurers

Permissions

  • Manage learner accounts

Centre Setting

To allow unit‑level allocations, ensure the following setting is enabled:

  • Allow assessors & IQA's to be set at unit level

Assign Unit Roles to Multiple Learners

  1. Click Users on the left navigation bar.
  2. Click Unit Allocations.
  3. Use filters to display the relevant learners.
  4. Click Select.
  5. Select the learners you wish to update.
  6. Select the Unit Assessor.
  7. Select the Unit IQA.
  8. Click Save.

Assign Unit Roles to a Single Learner

  1. Click Users on the left navigation bar.
  2. Click Learners.
  3. Click the Episodes tab.
  4. Click Learning Aims.
  5. Click Units.
  6. Use the dropdown menus to select a Unit Assessor and Unit IQA.
  7. Click Save.

Tips & Notes

  • Unit allocations override class‑level allocation logic for relevant tasks.
  • If no unit‑level allocation exists, Onefile will use the default assessor or IQA.
  • This feature improves task routing accuracy and ensures the correct staff are notified.
